Awakening Book Club

We live in the most exciting days of human history.  The Spirit of God is restoring the understanding of our identity as covenant people in a living and vibrant relationship with the Creator and King of the Universe.  The roots of His church are being revealed and exposed for all to experience anew. There is a refreshing wind coming from the first century, the time of Jesus, and it is permeating the hearts and minds of His people with insight, discernment, clarity, confidence and true palpable power for living!  “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!” – Psalm 34:8

The body of Christ is rising up in the strength and security that comes with steadfast faith, immovable and unshakable!   Stones are being turned over, dry ground is being nourished and becoming fertile, and brittle bones are being washed to dance with joy immeasurable. The dead are awakening to new life and we are witnessing resurrection power as it was in the first century.

Thousands of years of filters of interpretation are being removed as we journey back in time to read the Scriptures in the context of the first century.  Sit at the feet of Jesus and the apostles and disciples after Him to hear their thoughts, their perspective, and their foundational beliefs revealed in their teachings, plain and simple, without filters of interpretation. Notice a common theme of assurance, of confidence, of faith that stirred hearts, changed lives and obliterated the religious systems of the day as they are once again doing in our time.

The Awakening Book Club offers to explore and discuss relevant books that offer understanding of the foundation, form and function of the faith of the first century faithful - those individuals who lived their lives uncompromised, aligned to the fullness of the complete Scriptures as modeled and taught by Jesus and those immediately after Him.
